Crossroads is KMUW's contemporary blues and R&B show. Hosted by Chris Heim,
the program highlights blues, R&B and soul from the post-war era to the
present, from classic recordings to new releases, and from mainstream sounds
to an adventurous, diverse and wide-ranging collection of artists and
recordings with roots in the blues and branches in nearly every other
musical genre.

October 3 – This time around on Crossroads, we celebrate birthdays of Billy
Branch, Deborah Coleman, Keb’ Mo and the late, legendary Stevie Ray Vaughan
- plus a tribute to Stevie from Eric Clapton, new music from Stevie's
brother, Jimmie Vaughan, and a sneak peek at Buddy Guy's new release due out
at the end of the month with a track featuring guest artist B.B. King.

October 10 – This edition of the show features new music from Mavis Staples,
 Tad Robison, Duke Robillard, and the Mudbugs, plus we mark the birthday of
R&B's Ivory Joe Hunter and feature a classic from Kansas City blues shouter
Big Joe Turner.

October 17 – It's a busy week for live blues around the region and
Crossroads highlights from artists with shows this week at a variety of
venues and as part of the upcoming 13th Annual Blues Masters at the
Crossroads event. Plus new music from Robert Cray, Robin Rogers, Ann Savoy
and Her Sleepless Knights, Janiva Magness, and Moreland & Arbuckle, and
classics from Bobby Blue Bland and Clarence Carter.

October 24 – Next on Crossroads, we mark birthdays of Clarence Hollimon,
Corky Siegel, Sonny Terry, Jimmy Dawkins, and Willie Mabon - plus new music
from Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters and the return of "Mr. Superharp" -
James Cotton.

October 31 – It's tricks and treats blues style tonight. Crossroads "puts a
spell on you" for Halloween in this edition of the show.
