I'm amazed that your blues societies are already finished with your IBC.  We
have our finals on November 7th.  Four bands are competing:  JC Smith Band,
Twice as Good, Wendy DeWitt, and Tip of the Top.  I was very impressed with the
talented bands in this area that I hadn't heard before (e.g., Twice as Good).
Our President arranged for the winner to open for Robert Cray on November 12th!
I'm excited about it.  This is our first entry into IBC as The Golden Gate Blues
Society was founded in April 2009, and we weren't eligible to participate in
2010.

Look forward to seeing them in Memphis.

Lefty Collins won the band category in Birmingham (Magic City Blues Society)
this past Sunday.
