Blues bassist Frank Fields was born on this 2nd day of May in 1914 in
Plaquemine, LA. Fields played and recorded with Fats Domino,Ray
Charles,Charles Brown,PeeWee Crayton and Dr. John.
Country / Blues harmonica player Ted Roddy was born on this day in
Roddy began playing the harmonica as a teenager and has been a very
part of the Austin,Texas music scene since the 1980's.His "Tear Time"
CD is a masterpiece of songwritng and harmonica playing.

Harmonica player P.T. Hayes died on this day in 1983 in Chicago at the
age of 60.

Piedmont Blues guitarist Willie C. Moore, aka "Boll Weenie Bill" died
on this day in 1971 in Albany,NY at age 58.Moore recorded with Blind
Boy Fuller,Rev. Blind Gary Davis and Sonny Terry in the 30s.He did
some solo recordings for the ARC label and also worked with Big Bill

On this day in 1941, Big Bill Broonzy, along with Jazz Gillum on
harmonica,and Washboard Sam on washboard,recorded "Key To The Highway"
in Chicago,Illinois.
