Then what you will get is a live version of previously recorded material. 
Bands will stop using live audience reaction as a gauge to experiment with new 
songs or different arrangements. I was once at a Stevie Wonder show where he did 
THREE songs to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and he asked the audience to 
decide which one would be on his next album.

You won't get that kind of stuff if the artist feels that everything 
performed is now captured permanently somewhere.
