BLUES BEFORE MONDAY: 7:00-10:00 p.m. Sunday with Mark and Gary, the "White
Bread Blues Boys." October 7, 2007. We started the show with a tune for the
beloved Chicago Cubs (out National League favorite), who did not fail to
disappoint us once again. It was a pledge show, so we talked a lot about that, and
played a bit of Joan Armatrading's latest -- even though it is not really the
type of blues we usually play, as we had some of those for pledge premiums.
Did a tribute to Johnnie Mae Dunson, mother of area blues dude Jimmie "Prive
Time" Smith and previewed a couple new releases.

HOST COMMENTS: I got to the Blue Monday bash in Owatonna Friday night
and saw a great show by Scottie Miller and the Re-uptake Inhibitors. A really
tasty band that has a nice jazz slant to the blues they play.
We have our pals NiteRail at the Eagle's Club in Owatonna tonight and the
"Fabulous" Minnesota Barking Ducks at the Wine Cafe in Mankato tomorrow
night. That's looks to be about it for blues in the area this weekend.
We will be doing an all new show Sunday - which is the end of another
pledge drive, so have your credit cards handy and call in. Go to KMSU.ORG to see
the latest on pledge drive, something a bit different this time around.
QUESTIONS about these broadcasts to Mark at: KMSUBlues@mnmojo.com.
