I, too will miss Johnnie Mae Dunson-Smith. She was a dear friend and confidant. We spoke just before my three week tour launched. I have recorded her songs and plan to sing at her funeral services,"I Bid You Goodnight". She is one of the last Chicago Westside ,gut bucket, hole in the wall singer/songwriters who played the drums. . She threw me a birthday bash in 2003, the last time I saw Jimmie Lee Robinson alive. We valued each others friendship and made each other laugh. She wanted to learn to play slide guitar. She will be missed. She was an inspiration to me and a can do person.
Farewell and Rest in Peace
