BLUES BEFORE MONDAY: 7:00-10:00 p.m. Sunday with Mark and Gary, the "White
Bread Blues Boys."  September 30, 2007. Gary started with a set of music
inspired by Ladysmith Black Mambazo, who he had seen in St. Peter the night before.
A bib later we played a set of "smoking" songs, prompted by the fact a state
wide smoking ban in Minnesota was effective at Midnight. Concluded the show
with three new releases, or should I say a new reissue and two new releases.

HOST COMMENTS:
    Big James and his band put on a good show at Hooligan's Saturday night.
It was well attended, but not by the usual blues suspects. Not much for blues
this weekend in Mankato. The Swamp Kings playing at Pub 500 are about as
close as we will get. Our friends at Blue Monday magazine are sponsoring Scottie
and the Re-uptake Inhibitors FREE at the Knights of Columbus (820 So. Elm;
Owatonna, MN) 7pm-11pm Friday evening. Can't beat that...
    We will be doing an all new show Sunday - which is the start of another
pledge drive, so have your credit cards handy and call in. Go to KMSU.ORG to
see the latest on pledge drive, something a bit different this time around.
