Grammy-nominee Jumpin' Johnny Sansone and his band from New Orleans will be
performing at The Keys in Montgomery this Thursday night. Jumpin' Johnny
was nominated for a Grammy in 2003 for his contributions to the Preachin'
the Blues: The Music of Mississippi Fred McDowell cd released by Rounder
Records. In addition to his grammy nomination, Johnny has been voted by his
peers as the best harmonica player in New Orleans for two years, and is
known for his sizzling sets each year at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage
Festival. Prior to moving to New Orleans, Johnny was the vocalist and harp
player for Ronnie Earle and the Broadcasters, where he had the opportunity
to play with all the blues greats.

In addition to his solo work as a performer, songwriter and bandleader,
Johnny is playing harmonica and writing music for a Cuban jazz group based
in Toronto that won the 2006 Juno award for the "Best Contemporary Jazz
Album of the Year". Jumpin' Johnny is also performing as a member of the
Voice of the Wetlands All-Star Band, along with Tab Benoit, Anders Osborne,
Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, and Waylon Thibodeaux. This group is devoted to
raising awareness of, and money for, the restoration of the wetlands of
southern Louisiana.

Music begins at seven p.m. at The Keys Neighborhood Bar & Grill on Dalraida
Road and goes on until ten p.m. No Cover. The Keys will offer drink and
food specials. Check out Johnny's music at his web site:
