On this day in 1927, Victoria Spivey recorded "Nightmare Blues" and "Blood 
Thirsty Blues" in New York City for the OKeh label.  At the very same 
session, Lonnie Johnson recorded "Tin Can Alley Blues" and something he 
called the "6/88 Glide", also for OKeh.

On this day in 1930, Clara Smith recorded "Don't Wear It Out" and "What 
Makes You Act Like That?" in New York City for the OKeh label.

On this day in 1935, Big Bill Broonzy recorded "Sun Gonna Shine"
