CDBaby an online retailer that Silk City uses (in addition to their  own
website) has linked their artists (like myself) up with over 22 digital
distribution outlets like iTunes, etc.  I can speak from personal  experience that
there IS digital download activity AND payments made on a  regular basis...  I
don't actively promote the sites at either my gigs or  the Silk City website but
there is some activity none the less... I think as  artists we need to take a
serious look at this as a potential sales outlet for  our recordings going
forward.
