I can't recall the guy's name, but I read a story once where a particular
blues guitarist came up with his own scheme to thwart the wanna-be sit in
types.  He took an old Les Paul copy and had the scoop on the underside of
the body filled in, so you couldn't slide up the neck.  He strung it with
some rusty old heavy gauge strings, set the action real high and allowed the
neck to twist. When he was pestered for a sit-in, he would just hand that
old wreck over and tell them to go for it.
