Correct.  Any kind of CD-R will PLAY on a consumer deck.  But you must use
"music" CD-Rs to RECORD on a consumer deck.

To muddy the waters (Blues content) a little more... there are consumer
decks out there, manufactured before this became law, that will record on
any CD-R.
