I kinda lean this way too, although I have sat in with other bands from time
to time.  If I'm with the wifey and/or amd there by myself and perhaps
imbibing a little, I usually decline.  Like you, I came to hear THEM, not me
and the folks in the audience I would think would have the same attitude.
