Forwarded with permission from another list:

I spoke to Lou on the phone at the clinic in Lucerne; he sounded
in fine form and confirmed he was leaving to fly back to Chicago
this Saturday. In a later conversation with Steve Cyphers at
Severn Records I learnt that Lou will need an operation when he
gets back to the States but that doctors are predicting he will
back on the gig scene in six weeks or so. This is good news
indeed.

UK listers may like a preview of Lou's British visit next year.
Dates booked so far include (and tbc = exact date still to be
confirmed)
Sept 9 Soul Cellar Southampton tbc
Sept 10 The Citadel, St Helens
Sept 11, Nidd Hall, nr Harrogate
Sept 14 Komedia, Brighton tbc
Sept 15 The Cabaret, Nottingham
Sept 16 Playhouse II, Shaw, Lancs

Lou apologises for his non-appearance at the Lucerne Festival
and tells me Fritz has booked him already for next year! Those of
you missing Utrecht must really get to Lucerne, where we hope
also to present Charles Walker next year with Mo'Indigo, The
WattSoul Horns and Donna and Tys.

Anyone interested in booking Lou or Charles next year, contact
me off list.
