GEAR: speaker weirdness

The reason you saw light from the speaker cabinet there is actually a
light bulb in there. The light bulb (standard automotive type) acts as a
fuse. The bulb absorbs the overload instead of the speaker. In many ways
it works better than a fuse, a fuse will just burn open and render the
cabinet useless, the bulb will stay on and not burn out unless the amp is
sent completely in to straight current. Saves the speaker and keeps you
performing until you really mess up.
