On this day in 1924, Alberta Hunter, recording as Josephine Beatty, 
recorded "Texas Moaner Blues" in New York City. Accompanying Hunter were 
the Red Onion Jazz Babies featuring Louis Armstrong on cornet.

On this day in 1951, Big Bill Broonzy recorded "Walkin' That Lonesome 
Road". That same year he made his first trip to Europe, opening the door 
for the many American Bluesmen that followed.
