Just to Clarify for Debra... When The Red Sox won the first "World Series"
back in 1903, the only place in the world that professional baseball existed
was the North American Continent. The term may be archaic, but it's not due
to any sort of American megalomania, just a good old fashioned American
sense of marketing/hyperbole.. Of course it would be a lot of fun to watch a
real World Series between Japan and all the North American professional
teams and anyone else willing to participate, it would be like the IBC with
baseball gloves, TV coverage and real sponsors....
