On this day in 1894, a publication called Billboard Advertising was 
published for the first time. At 10 cents an issue, it was a real bargain 
compared to today's Billboard" which now costs $299 a year.

On this day in 1928, Bertha "Chippie" Hill recorded "Hangman Blues", and 
"Trouble In Mind" in Chicago for Vocalion.
