Happy New Years. BUSTED
Thu Jan 1 16:53:19 EST 2004
Luckily, I only had to travel about 3 miles to our local Blues club,
Louie's. San Francisco-based Daniel Castro (no relation to Tommy) was
playing. He was in great form despite a small crowd. Unfortunately,
the small crowd cost the owner money, as I'm sure he was unable to make
the gate required to offset the band's New Year's gig fees. I guess
people were just too cautious to go out for New Year's eve. I hope
that 2004 brings him more support because he is a friendly owner that
tries to bring in good acts. It would be a shame to lose one of the
only two real Blues venues in our area.
