Woody Mann, Bob Brozman, John Cephas, Martin Simpson, - four Renaissance men
of blues guitar come together for an unprecedented seminar. The Acoustic
Blues and Slide Guitar Workshop will be a week-long residential workshop for
guitarists of varying levels to learn the techniques and repertoire of the
masters of the finger-style acoustic blues and slide guitar styles.

Founded by Woody Mann and Bob Brozman, the 'Acoustic Blues and Slide
Workshop' will offer group classes, workshops, faculty and student concerts,
jam sessions, and special events. The days are structured to provide a
focused 'hands on' program of study in a relaxed, non -competitive
atmosphere. Expected participants will be from many countries to create an
international community of musicians - all living together and sharing the
learning experience.

Our common belief is that the instrumental and vocal styles of traditional
blues music are an ongoing art form that is an integral part of contemporary
guitar vocabulary. In addition, learning the history, techniques, and
repertoire of the masters of the blues provides a basis for developing
individual expression.

Mann, Brozman, Simpson, and Cephas are all well established performers,
teachers, authors, and recording artists. Sharing similar musical roots,
each has created his own body of original work, which is bringing acoustic
blues into the next generation. The staff is completed with Mary Flower, Bob
Tilling, and Piper Hesig who will share their considerable talents as
performers and experienced teachers.

Students are encouraged to make reservations early - space will be limited
to 60 students.
There will be a limited number of scholarships available through the
generosity and support of our friends at several music organizations and
companies.

This will be an unforgettable week of relaxed learning and hours of
unlimited jamming -
                                                    The ideal guitar
vacation
