Are these Mel London's CHIEF recordings (which were issued on VeeJay)?
These were 1957.

The Biharis had Modern as well as Meteor and Flair labels, so all
these were from the same period - I think you mean pre- Fire & Enjoy?

Guitar Nubbit & Alabama Watson is listed at www.allmusic.com as having
a CD on Wolf titled "Blues Town Story Vol: 1" Wolf CD 013

Listing from www.cdconnection.com - I'm pretty sure both these contain
his 1949 stuff including "99-1/2 Won't Do", "Ride to a Funeral in a
V-8 Ford"

$ 9.81 PICKETT*DAN -- 1949 COUNTRY BLUES
COL5311     1/91     COLLECTABLES     details

$13.55 PICKETT*DAN -- DAN PICKETT & TARHEEL SLIM -- 7/1

Sorry about the multiple replies - but I'm looking as I go along......

I'll stop now :)
